
Chicken Chow Mein
A traditional South Asian milk sweet made with bottle gourd and Sucral — indulgent without the guilt
Chicken strips - 250 grams
Spaghetti (boiled) - 2 cups
Capsicums (julienned) - 2
Carrots (finely cut) - 2
Peas (boiled) - ½ cup
Cabbage (finely cut) - 2 cups
Crushed black pepper - 1 tsp
Oyster sauce - 5 tbsps
Garlic (chopped) - 1 tbsp
Oil - 5 tbsps
RITE SALT - 1 TSP
In a pot boil bottle gourd with green food colour until soft. Strain and squeeze excess water. Add evaporated milk solids and Sucral and cook till thick. Add cardamom powder and clarified butter. Cook until mixture leaves sides of pan. Transfer to a dish, garnish with dry fruits and let it cool. Cut into equal pieces and serve.
